About
Welcome to Starbucks at Avanyu Plaza, a standout location that redefines your Starbucks experience. Nestled in the historic 19 Pueblos District of Albuquerque, New Mexico, this Starbucks is more than just a place to grab a coffee; it's a celebration of culture, architecture, and community.
As the largest Starbucks in New Mexico and the only freestanding Starbucks Coffee licensed to a Native American-owned company in the United States, its Pueblo-inspired architecture immediately captivates. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by a spacious layout that boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere. With two kiva fireplaces and ample outdoor seating, it's the perfect spot for both work and relaxation.
Let’s talk about the flavors that await you! Start your day right with their Hot Breakfast options. The Bacon, Gouda, & Egg Breakfast Sandwich is a must-try, featuring sizzling applewood-smoked bacon, melty aged Gouda, and a Parmesan frittata on an artisan roll. For a lighter option, the Reduced Fat Turkey Bacon & Cage-Free Egg White Sandwich offers a delightful mix of rich flavors with reduced-fat white cheddar on a wheat English muffin.
For those seeking a satisfying lunch, indulge in the Tomato & Mozzarella Sandwich, where roasted tomatoes, mozzarella, spinach, and pesto come together on toasted focaccia. Or, for a heartier option, the Chicken Caprese Sandwich, with slow-cooked chicken, mozzarella, and balsamic-marinated tomatoes on ciabatta, is simply irresistible.
Of course, no visit is complete without exploring their bakery selection. The Sprouted Grain Vegan Bagel stands out with its wholesome ingredients and rich texture, while the Everything Bagel delivers on the classic New York-style taste that's hard to resist.
But it’s not just the food and coffee that make this location special—customer reviews confirm the exceptional service. One reviewer described it as "hands down the most beautiful Starbucks" he has visited, noting the cleanliness, ample seating, and cozy ambiance.

“ Hands down this is the most beautiful starbucks location I have ever visited across 6 states. It’s also the largest one I’ve ever seen! Plentiful seating, clean (including bathrooms), friendly staff and prompt service. My cappuccino was a little funky (as of the shot had expired or they hadn’t pulled the Ristretto as asked), but they made up for it by offering to remake it and instead I asked for a different type of drink. Right next to the cultural center too! Highly recommend this location. ”
“ Merissa Alexus and Mikaela are absolutely amazing! Service was outstanding this morning and I will always come back as long as they are here! Those girls need a raise ”
“ This is one of the nicest and most unique Starbucks. The seating area is authentically Pueblo and love the seating and fireplace in the dining area. They have a conference room you can use and they ask for a certain amount of purchased products you buy each hour. Great place to work and enjoy food and drinks. ”

The only freestanding Starbucks Coffee licensed to a Native American-owned company in the United States features Pueblo-inspired architecture, a spacious outdoor patio, two kiva fireplaces, and a community meeting room. The handmade Pueblo pottery and art commissioned specifically for our location makes this Starbucks unlike any other. ”
“ One of the nicer Starbucks I’ve been to. They have a lot of nice seating around with ambient lighting, along with a relatively large patio. You will see lots of students doing work and other collaborations. Overall nice spot of get some coffee and do some work. ”
“ Really lovely ambiance at this Starbucks. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Tables are well-spaced so I didn't feel nervous at all about social distancing sufficiently. Decor in this location is beautiful, as well. I'd love to see art from the Pueblos for auction or sale. I will be restricting my spending at Starbucks extremely because the corporation uses slave labor. However, I felt this was a good place to use up my gift cards. Support Indigenous businesses! Support Indigenous people! ”
“ A lovely space to order food and beverage, and sit while reading, studying, working, etc. Very roomy and never overcrowded. No drive thru unfortunately, but that may be why it's not overcrowded in the parking lot and inside the cafe. Interior is very nice. Outdoor seating available. ”
“ Great SB location. Plenty of seating available to enjoy ur drink or snack. lots of menu variations. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. ”
